| The
city of Raymond is committed to the health and safety of its residents,
offering several city parks, playgrounds, and recreation activities.
There are five separate city parks with different playground equipment,
as well as nature trails that run by Hawk Creek and the lake bottom,
a community center and a shelter for picnics and gatherings, a baseball
and softball field, tennis courts, basketball courts, a baseball/
softball field complex that is currently being built, and a park
in downtown Raymond that commemorates the city's centennial celebration
in 1988.

Hawk
Creek Country Club welcomes people to Raymond on the east edge of
town. Opened in 1997, Hawk Creek Country Club was built to be a
challenge for experienced golfers, but was also framed with beginners
in mind. Our beautiful par 36, 9-hole course offers golfing enjoyment
at any level. It also includes a full-size driving range, putting
green, and a fully stocked clubhouse.

The
Raymond Rockets amateur baseball team plays several games at Lilleberg
Field each year. The Rockets have been very successful, playing
in the state baseball tournament four times since 2000. Right behind
Lilleberg field, the community is working on building a new baseball/softball
complex, and has tennis courts and the MACCRAY East playground on
site.

Raymond
is a very active town and is set up well for walking, running, and
biking. Per capita, Raymond has more active walkers and runners
than most cities five times its size. Raymond has easily-walkable,
safe neighborhoods that are perfect for kids. |
