Raymond Memorial Day Parade

Raymond is a very patriotic city that is indebted to veterans. Every year, Raymond's population triples on Memorial Day, as current and former residents come together to celebrate and remember the sacrifices that our veterans have made for us to live in freedom.

The day is highlighted with a parade that visits two cemeteries in town, led by the flags of honor and flanked with music by the MACCRAY High School marching band. Pastors from churches in Raymond preside over a prayer session at each cemetery, and Joe Apol proudly reads the names of the town's veterans from past wars.

Raymond has a commitment to raising the flags in the city park along Highway 23 on Memorial Day and every other holiday to honor veterans. They fly in honor of those who have served our country. THANK YOU to all of our veterans!
