Raymond
Harvest Festival - August 23, 2008
Raymond
hosts the annual Harvest
Festival each fall to celebrate the city's agricultural foundation
and to offer a family-friendly event. This year's celebration was
held on Saturday, August 23.
Some
of the many events at the Harvest
Festival range from a kiddie parade to a full 100-unit parade
with neighborhood floats and an antique car and tractor display;
to an early-morning 5k race to an early-evening queen contest for
local girls. Local gardeners can submit their prized flowers and
vegetables at the judged garden show, kids games in the park, and
a small flea market sets up downtown. At the end of the night, Cheers
hosted a street dance and beer garden with live music.
The
Raymond Civic & Commerce sponsored an appreciation luncheon
at the Community Center. Click

Festival flyer.

in the future. |
